Thousands Rally for Darfur in Boston and Worldwide
To mark the tragic fourth anniversary of the beginning of the genocide in Darfur, activists in 30 countries organized rallies, protects and vigils. There were more than 350 events in the United States alone.

Mossaad Mohamed Ali Mossaad, head of the Amel Center for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture in Darfur, has been awarded the Olof Palme Prize for his work promoting human rights, peace and security.
Judgment on Genocide
Scholars, human rights lawyers and activists gathered in New York City in November 2006 for a "citizens' tribunal" in which Sudan's President Bashir and other high-level government officials were "tried" in absentia for crimes committed in Darfur, as well as for the genocides in southern Sudan and the Nuba Mountains.
