Student Program Staff
Danielle Fox, Student Program Coordinator
With degrees in International Development and International Relations from Clark University, Danielle has happily dedicated herself to the human rights movement. Since her first Amnesty International student chapter meeting at the age of 15, Danielle has worked extensively in the human rights movement through her many roles with AI, focusing on membership mobilization and structure, organizational planning, and leadership training. In addition to her work with AI, Danielle served on Idealist on Campus Student Advisory Board, working to provide opportunities and resources for socially conscious youth. She also interned with PHR's U.S. Campaign to Ban Landmines during both high school and college. Before returning to PHR as a staff member, Danielle worked as the Program and Development Director for Burma Border Projects, coordinating a variety of refugee assistance projects on the Thai-Burma border. When not working for human rights, Danielle immerses herself in her artwork or enjoys a rousing game of poker or billiards.
Sarah Kalloch, Outreach and Constituency Organizing Director
As Outreach Director, Sarah spearheads PHR's efforts to build a movement of doctors, nurses, public health practitioners, researchers, students and others dedicated to health and human rights who can bring their expertise and voice to PHR's campaigns and research. Previously, she coordinated PHR's groundbreaking partnerships in East Africa, which have built the capacity of local NGOs in Uganda and Kenya to engage health workers in innovative and effective AIDS and health rights advocacy.
Sarah has presented on AIDS, health, human rights and advocacy at conferences and symposiums in the US, Africa and Asia, and her work has been covered in academic journals, major newspapers, magazines, and a forthcoming book on health and human rights. Prior to coming to PHR, Sarah worked at a major family philanthropic foundation focused on the environment and youth organizing; managed the Deep Way Cay Club, an exclusive fly-fishing resort in the Bahamas; and conducted research on gender, economics and community management in fishing communities around Lake Victoria in East Africa. Sarah received a B.A., magna cum laude, in Social Studies from Harvard College.
