Destroyed Livelihoods: A Case Study of Furawiya Village, Darfur
To understand and describe in better detail the impact of village destruction for Darfurian victims, PHR researched the story of one of over the thousand villages destroyed in the genocidal campaign: Furawiya. Via interviews with refugees and the internally displaced, PHR's findings in this briefing substantiate and amplify previous findings: that the Government of Sudan (GOS) and the GOS-supported Arab militia have forced largely non Arab Darfurians from their homes.
