Darfur - Assault on Survival
In May 2004 and January and July 2005, through collecting eyewitness testimony from dozens of Darfurian refugees in Chad, and finding ample evidence of an organized attempt to destroy non-Arab groups, PHR compiled a composit picture of massive destruction in Darfur.
Destroyed Livelihoods
PHR researchers tell the story of just one of the thousands of villages destroyed in the genocidal campaign waged throughout Darfur. Through interviews with refugees from the village Furawiya, we hear the intimate stories of a people terrorized by Sudan's government and the Janjaweed.
