Organizations from Africa and Around the World Call on G8 to Address African Health Worker Crisis

Several organizations have crafted statements calling on G8 to address the Health Worker Crisis in Africa:

Two of the most prominent African organizations addressing health in Africa, the African Council for Sustainable Health Development and AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation), along with more than 40 other African NGOs, delivered a statement to the G8 to express their view of the importance of health systems and what the G8 countries needs to do in partnership with African governments and civil society.  They emphasized the need for firm commitments from the G8 countries on long-term, predictible financing, supporting mutual accountability, and more, to enable African countries to fully implement their National Health Plans.
