Chris Drew

Chris Drew became involved with PHR after attending a panel discussion at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government in December 1998.  The discussion was in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  PHR Board Member Jack Geiger, whose work is distinguished by his commitment to breaking down barriers to health, well-being and dignity, was on the panel.  “He was a very compelling speaker and I resolved to find a way to help PHR,” said Drew.

After speaking to PHR’s Deputy Director, Susannah Sirkin, Chris became a volunteer, helping PHR with a variety of organizational and managerial topics: program planning and review, team building, and strategic planning.   He has been a volunteer in this capacity for more than eight years and has since expanded his support by becoming PHR’s first monthly donor.

“PHR is politically unbiased, has a long and strong record of fighting the good fight, of exposing abuses in countries all across the globe, or doing courageous work on behalf of those abused and medical and health workers aiding people around the world.”
