Jillian Furman

Position: Executive Assistant
Jillian Furman

Jillian joined PHR in October, 2012, as Executive Assistant. In this position, Jillian works closely alongside PHR's Executive Director, Donna McKay, as well as the Board of Directors and PHR’s Senior Staff. She is responsible for the coordination of administrative and executive projects as well as the research, analysis, and implementation of PHR’s organizational policies. In addition, Jillian frequently engages with our development and communications teams, collaborating with staff members on various projects and programs.

Prior to joining PHR, Jillian was studying at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and recently received a Master of Arts degree in Conflict Resolution. Jillian was a recipient of Convocation Award for Outstanding Achievement in Conflict Resolution (2012) as well as the University of Massachusetts Boston Beacon Leadership Award.

Jillian’s professional interests in organizational conflict management and conflict resolution within mission-driven organizations, coupled with her educational interests in global conflict, make her an excellent addition to the PHR team.

As a certified mediator, Jillian collaborates with groups and organizations in the Greater Boston area, often volunteering her time to mediate disputes. She is currently a volunteer for the Community Dispute Settlement Center in Cambridge, MA.  Most recently, Jillian was invited to guest lecture about mediation at Northeastern School of Law to third-year law students studying Civil Litigation. She also spends her spare time facilitating programs and dialogues in the local area, including the Boston Museum of Science’s World Wide Views on Biodiversity and Israel360’s Convo-Salons.

Jillian also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
