Hannah Chotiner-Gardner is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to obtain institutional support for PHR projects and operations. To that end, she cultivates and maintains relationships with private foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other institutions. She is responsible for communicating information about PHR’s mission and accomplishments to current and prospective funders and identifying opportunities for them to help finance projects and initiatives that further their own missions and objectives. She also is responsible for ensuring that PHR’s projects are designed, implemented, evaluated, and reported in compliance with grant requirements and government regulations.
Before joining PHR’s development staff, Chotiner-Gardner spent five years working with major donors at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Previously, she held programmatic positions at the Boston Rescue Mission and the American Friends Service Committee. Chotiner-Gardner also has prior experience teaching in Ecuador, Ghana, and Namibia.
She holds a BA in English from Mount Holyoke College.
