Eliza B. Young, MA
Eliza B. Young manages the production of all PHR printed materials. She is responsible for coordinating the publication process for reports, newsletters, fact sheets, and brochures. Young also contributes to the writing and editing of PHR communication products.
Before coming to PHR, Young worked as an analyst for the Emergency Preparedness and Response Unit at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she provided analysis on countries displaying signs of potential political or humanitarian crises. She was also responsible for writing in-depth reports outlining the political, humanitarian, development, and security environments in countries considered high risk for conflict or natural disasters.
Previously, Young served as a research analyst and editor for Freedom House, where her work focused on the organization’s two global publications, Freedom in the World and Freedom of the Press.
Young holds a BA in European history from Barnard College at Columbia University and an MA in international relations from King’s College London.
