Eliza B. Young, MA
Eliza B. Young manages the production of all PHR printed materials, including investigative reports, newsletters, program fact sheets, and organizational brochures. Young also contributes to the writing and editing of PHR communication products.
Before coming to PHR, Young worked as a political analyst for the Emergency Preparedness and Response Unit at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where she monitored and reported on countries displaying signs of potential political and/or humanitarian crises. She was responsible for writing in-depth reports outlining the political, humanitarian, development, and security environments in countries considered high risk for conflict or natural disasters.
Previously, Young served as a research analyst and editor for Freedom House, where her work focused on the organization’s two global publications, Freedom in the World and Freedom of the Press.
Young holds a BA in European history from Barnard College at Columbia University and an MA in international relations from King’s College London.
