Deborah Prayag, MPA
Deborah Prayag provides critical support for the development of PHR’s Partnership Program, including developing and supporting strategies to manage and multiply PHR’s global partnerships with NGOs, medical institutions, and universities. Additionally, Prayag conducts research aimed at evaluating and enhancing current advocacy strategies in order to increase public awareness of PHR’s mission and projects and explore key institutions with which PHR should form or deepen its partnerships.
Prior to joining PHR, Prayag was an operations associate at the Atlantic Philanthropies where she coordinated projects, organized events, supported networks, managed logistics, and developed foundation partnership activities. During her graduate studies, she volunteered and taught ESL at an orphanage in Bali and served as a youth mentor and tutor in New York City. Her experiences in Bali furthered her interest in international human rights and helped solidify her passion to influence change and promote the empowerment of women and girls.
Prayag holds a BA in political science with a concentration in law, policy, and society and an MPA in public policy from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
