Beth Scully communicates with governments and institutional funders to garner financial support for PHR's work around the world.
Prior to joining PHR, Scully was a consultant to nonprofit organizations, including Human Rights Advocates, Human Rights First, and GoodWeave USA. She also served as a consultant to the Corporation for Supportive Housing and Praxis Housing Initiatives, comprised of organizations that promote and create housing as a solution to challenges facing the most vulnerable homeless individuals and families, including mentally-ill and physically disabled individuals, veterans, people with HIV/AIDS, and youth aging out of foster care.
Before working as a consultant, Scully was development director of the Ms. Foundation for Women, winning support for women’s economic development programs around the world and expanding the “Take Our Daughters to Work Day” program. Earlier, Scully served in senior positions guiding statewide political campaigns for various Democratic candidates in New York, including Geraldine A. Ferraro and Mario Cuomo. An early activist in the fight against AIDS, Scully helped to build AIDS Walk NY into a premier fundraising walk-a-thon and raised millions of dollars to help transform God’s Love We Deliver from a group feeding fewer than 100 homebound clients a day to an organization serving over 4,000 meals daily.
Scully holds a BA in politics from Assumption College and studied at New York University’s Graduate School of Public Administration.
