Dr. Stephen McElroy is a physician in the emergency department of Quincy Medical Center and Boston Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. McElroy has been a PHR Asylum Network volunteer since 2004 and regularly performs medical evaluations for victims of torture who are applying for asylum in the US. With Doctors Without Borders, Dr. McElroy has traveled to Pakistan, Sudan, Liberia, and Lesotho.
He is the author of Emergency Medicine: The Essentials, as well as Pediatric Emergency Medicine: The Essentials.
He received an MPH from Boston University and his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts.
